I remember in the winter of 2013 I kept breaking out along my jawline on the right side of my face. I was really frustrated because I know finding a cure for any acne issue is a needle in the hay and these cystic pimples left deep scars. Luckily through trial and error I was able to find a solution that worked for me and then finding out the cause of my cystic pimples. My solution:
- Avoid putting hot water on your face. Use only cold water to wash your face. THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!
- I use Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash to wash my face.
- After washing your face, put a good amount of Pond’s Dry Skin Cream on your face. When I first applied the cream, I noticed my skin was still peeling. I found out that I didn’t apply enough so I put more and the peeling skin went away.

Eventually the cystic pimples slowly diminished away. After more researching it seems like I had dehydrated skin. Which would make sense because the colder the weather, the hotter the water I would use. This caused my skin to dry out severely. It also seems lots of people worship Cetaphil face wash since it’s suppose to be gentle on skin. I gave it a shot but for some reason I broke out so I went back to using Simple facial wash. I even Googled Cetaphil Vs Simple Facial Cleaner and it seems that most people prefer Cetaphil. So I guess if it works for you, then you should just stick with it. Hopefully this post helps someone! Let me know if it does, so you know I can feel like a hero haha.
